U-M Rated No. 3 Public University by U.S. News & World Report
The University of Michigan has been recognized as the No. 3 public university in the nation and ranked 25th overall in the 2027 U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges rankings. In addition to earning high marks across several top-ranked undergraduate programs — including business, engineering, nursing, and psychology — U-M was named the best public university value in Michigan and ranked No. 13 nationally in the new Best Value In-State category.
